The baskets have a metal frame with the seagrass woven around it in a double weave design, integral handles in the shorter width ends and a seagrass wrapped around two rows of metal at the top in a vertical direction, to make a firmer edge. The lid is hinged with seagrass, and can be folded right back to give easier access, especially useful when the baskets are being used to store toys.
